In your first month, that solar portion might be $0.175/kWh. In your second month, it could be $0.185/kWh. In your third, $0.18/kWh. And so on.
The reason it works like this is because New York’s Community Solar promises that the government pays users back a guaranteed rebate for their solar energy. Most of their green deals work this way.
This guaranteed rebate is distributed as this discount and will altogether add up to 10% of the annual cost of electricity you would pay for without Community Solar.
